Getting your pet checked out regularly by their vet is important. However, sometimes it isn't easy for you to get to the office so your pet can get the necessary medical care. It's not that you don't want them to see the vet; it's just that it's tough for whatever reason for you to get there. When you are in this position, you have some options. One of them is to check out a mobile pet exam service.

Mobile Pet Exam

This service has a vet who will drive a vehicle to your location. Inside that vehicle, usually a large van or truck of some sort, the vet will have set up a mobile office. It will have everything that the vet needs for basic treatment. They probably won't be able to perform full surgeries in the mobile office, but doing things like routine exams, checkups, and vaccinations are well within the capabilities of the mobile office. Using one of these services is a good idea for many reasons,

Less Pet Anxiety

If your pet gets very anxious when they are in a car, it can make going to the vet's office much more stressful than it really needs to be. It's hard for the vet to get a good exam when your pet is very stressed and reactive to everything. It can also be unsafe for your pet and the vet because stressed animals tend to act out and strike people around them. But a mobile service means your pet doesn't need to go into a crate and get into the car to go anywhere.

Scheduling

Another reason is that it can be easier for you to schedule an appointment to have the mobile vet come out to your house to check out your pet than it could be for you to make an appointment to go to the vet's office. If you only have a small sliver of free time in your day, the vet's office might not have an appointment in that time slot, but the mobile exam service may have that time slot and can be at your house then.

If you have a pet, it is your job to ensure they are healthy. That means that you need to get them regular vet exams. Getting to the vet's office may be challenging, so check to see if they have a mobile pet exam service you can take advantage of.
